Hotel Mediterranee - טאורמינה

Taormina is exceptionally difficult to drive into, and this is at least on the "main" road through town, and has parking straight off the street. The front rooms have a fantastic view over the coast and Mt Etna, and it is a short walk into town and to restaurants, providing you can deal with stairs and steep streets.

There were no newspapers for guests to consult.

My 13 year old grandson and I thought it was the best place we stayed in during our holiday--including Italy.Mainly the views of Mt Etna and Naxos from our balcony at night and the day views at breakfast on the dining room balcony.So it's a top location.We also found the staff helpful .My grandson wanted to go back and spend more time there.Thankyou for a great experience.Colleen Stuart,Dalkeith,Western Australia.

Being able to make tea and coffee would be a bonus.

The view from our balcony/room at the upper floor was superb.

The waiters at breakfast did not know what a smile was and the breakfast itself was nothing I would like to recommend except the view from the breakfast room. The interior of the hotel was worn especially the carpets. The bathroom tub did not work well.

location is very good and staff friendly

the hotel is overpriced..or else it is Booked.net that charged too much. in fact the hotel prices at the hotel were much inferior than those shown here!

Probally the view and location is what you are paying for but personally would not recommend the hotel.

Breakfast poor. Swimming pool unavailable closed for maintance not as discribed while booking. Over rated for 4 star hotel the star rating must go a 10 star to rate as probably a 2 star . Air conditioning is working, but non existant and not to international standards. Shower facilities are poor.and staff didn't care. I would only recommend this hotel to my enemy!

Good location,only few minutes from the main Corso.!!Free parking iside!!Great swimming pool with deck-chairs.Rich breakfast buffet on the terace with panoramatic view.We recomand it.

The pool area is gorgeous and the views fab. The location is good too for town of tAormina.

The decor was tired

Lovely hotel with fabulous views over Taormina and to Etna, couldn't beat sitting eating breakfast on the terrace every morning. Lovely swimming pool and nice spacious clean rooms. Good location to the centre but just away from main umberto a wee bit so no noise at night etc. Would stay there again if visiting Taormina

The hotel shows its age but location is superb. Only a few steps from the Duomo, restaurants and shops. Nice swimming pool. Accessible by car with parking.

bathroom not up to scratch, at best 2**. Lift too small and too slow. Some of the reception staff could have been more friendly and forthcoming.

Spacious room. great, unimpeded view of the sea & Mt Etna from large balcony. Good breakfast as part of the hotel pkg. Beautiful pool & gardens. Location was easy walk to historic centre & sites of Taormina.

This is a grand "old" building that is showing how tired it's furnishings as well as plumbing fixtures are. It is due for a major refurbishing.

Excellent location. The pool on the 7th floor is very nice providing a nice view over Taormina. Good value for money. I would definitely return. Breakfasts good definitely better than ok. we did not eat dinner in-house. There is a nice beach at the sister hotel and a return shuttle for €6. For a price/value combo in Taormina this hotel can be strongly recommended.

Beach towels a bit thin, the decor is a bit faded, bed was fairly basic

Obvious this was once one of the celebrity hotels, art deco but now a bit worn. Loved the feel. Staff was excellent. Spectacular views.Very affordable and I would recommend to all.

The Hotel Mediterranee was excellent. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, the setting was picturesque will wonderful views and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing.

I heard someone say that they thought that the shower was too small, but it was big enough for me!!
